Police Officer Arrested for Stealing Weapons from Evidence Room & Selling Them

Fox28 Savannah Wednesday, October 13th 2021: 

A former Summerville Police officer was arrested for allegedly stealing weapons from his office’s evidence room and selling them.

Wade Franklin Rollings, 46, was accused of stealing at least four firearms, then selling them to a local pawn shop while he worked at Summerville Police Department.

State Law Enforcement Division arrested Rollings following an investigation requested by Summerville Police.

Rollings was charged with grand larceny and misconduct in office, and was booked at Dorchester County Detention Center.
